Welcome to Fonderia Mapelli

Fonderia Mapelli S.r.l. was founded in Olginate in 1955; it originally focused on the production of brake shoes and replacement parts for the automobile and motorcycle sectors but soon branched out to cover other areas such as the textile machinery, mechanical/motor, off-board engine, electrical and lighting industries to the production of engine casings and pressurised jets, electric and electronic equipment, small household appliances, mechanical and pneumatic actuators, gas valves, vehicle grease pumps, compressor pistons etc… We currently have a roofed area of about 3,000 m2 on a total area of 4,000 m2 at our disposal. Production consists in over 1,700 different articles with individual parts weighing from a minimum of 3 grams to a maximum of 6 kilograms. The company’s press machine fleet consists of 7 units with a closing capacity of from 320 to 750 tons. Our policy of ongoing collaborations and commitment to achieving optimal customer satisfaction means we can boast 40 year long relations with our suppliers. Via our external collaborators with over 30 years experience in the sector, we are also able to offer you finished parts, including those that are mechanically processed and/or have surface treatments such as vibration tumbling with ceramic and plastic materials, ball-bearing polishing, shot blasting with stainless steel shot in cylinders. Our continuous research from the initial die design phase and optimal exploitation of our process capacity allows us to develop a wide variety of solutions to meet all specific demands. We are certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard by Tüv Italia s.r.l. Certificate no. 50 100 2941.
The quality system is supported by a management software with real time generation of production data with collection points for each individual manufacturing station. API-con-Lecco-piccolo2
The collected data is archived to an IT support system. The die shelves are divided by customer which means it is very easy to search for the items requested by production. Our key strong points include: – customer loyalty – product quality – manufacturing flexibility in managing even small orders with short lead times – customer technical support services.
